Looking to get some scholarship support? The University of Toronto Ski and Snowboard Club (UTSSC) is offering scholarships to deserving University of Toronto student members based on:

  • Financial need
  • Community background
  • Demonstration of Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) values
  • Commitment to the club.

Sounds cool, right? Let's dive into the details:

1. Financial Need (Maximum 100 words):

  • Tell us about your current financial situation.
  • Are there any reasons affecting your ability to self-fund or partially fund the trip.
  • Specify why you need financial assistance.

2. Widening Access - Community Background (Maximum 100 words):

  • Identify if you belong to communities like LGBTQ+, BIPOC, Disability, Refugee, Carers, Indigenous, etc.
  • Detail how your community has shaped your life and experiences.
  • Discuss challenges faced due to your background and how you tackled them.

3. Demonstration of EDI Values (Maximum 100 words):

  • Share examples showcasing your commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion.
  • Highlight any EDI-promoting projects or initiatives you've been a part of.
  • Express your beliefs on EDI's importance and future plans regarding these values.

4. Scholarship Commitment (Maximum 100 words):

  • Lay out how you'll meet the scholarship's commitments.
  • Minimum requirement for commitment is to be in a 30-60 second thank you video to Sponsors. Other requirements for larger scholarships may include longer videos, writing a blog article, or contributing to UTSSC's social events.
  • Share ideas or projects aligning with the scholarship's values and your commitment to clear communication.

Submission Guidelines:

  • Use a clear font like Times New Roman (size 12).
  • Stick to the word limits for each section.
  • Proofread for errors.
  • OPTIONAL: Include relevant supporting documents or evidence.

Make sure to use your UofT email when applying. Our primary goal is to support our current U of T student community, so only current U of T students are eligible for funding. We love our alumni and friends from other places, but this particular opportunity is reserved for our current students. Thanks for understanding! 😊
